About Shari Thomas
Shari Thomas has been a spiritual advisor, counselor and teacher for over 30 years.
She knows the depth that sorrow can bring — from her adoption at birth, her father dying suddenly when she was ten years old, divorce, rape, and a serious auto accident leaving her with taumatic head/brain injuries —Shari was led on a path to discovering strength and forgiveness from within.
As a result of her own lifelong difficulties, she knew she wanted to minister to others. Part of her path of healing has been to study massage, hypnotherapy, SRT (Spiritual Response Therapy), and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). After her auto accident she was determined to not only overcome her speech difficulties (due to the brain injury) but to also become an award winning speaker, facilitator and educator.
After working in the area of holistic health, she has spent the last 10 years specializing in grief. She works closely with hospices, families, treatment centers and patients to bring more light and meaning into the sacred process of dying.
Her intimate understanding of dying people’s internal life has also allowed her to become an advocate for their often misinterpreted and misheard voices. Shari’s intention is to bring more spiritual reverence to these passages — whether it be reflections, celebrations of life, or memorials.
She now brings to her clients a compassionate heart, understanding, and a sense of humor. Her greatest accomplishments in life are being a mother to two wonderful grown children and a grandmother with love and wisdom to share.
Her prayer is that for those who suffer with grief will find support, love and to truly know that they are not alone.
